More than 250,000 pounds of food collected as students, families, and businesses unite to fight hunger.

HOWELL, NJ | October 29, 2026 — SPARROW Executive Jets is proud to have supported Dermer Dreams’ second annual 100-Yard Food Drive Challenge, held Sunday, October 25, at Howell High School in Howell, New Jersey.

The remarkable community initiative brought together hundreds of students, families, volunteers, and corporate partners with one shared mission: helping New Jersey families facing food insecurity.

What began as an ambitious effort to fill an entire football field with donated food became a record-breaking achievement. Participants collected more than 250,000 pounds of food, covering the field from end zone to end zone with thousands of yellow donation bags.

Founded by Alyse and Daniel Dermer, Dermer Dreams empowers young people to become leaders in their communities through student-organized food drives. The organization’s innovative approach teaches responsibility, compassion, and the importance of giving back while delivering meaningful assistance to families in need.

As a supporting community partner, SPARROW Executive Jets was honored to stand alongside the students, volunteers, organizers, and fellow businesses whose collective generosity made the event possible.

The food collected during the event was distributed to approximately 30 food bank partners throughout New Jersey, extending the impact of the students’ efforts well beyond the football field.
